Dr. Tani Dabirian is a Licensed Psychologist in California. Dr. Dabirian graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Minor in Near Eastern Studies. She got her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from CGI (currently known as Chicago School of Professional Psychology) in 2005. Dr. Dabirian is bilingual and has over 15 years of experience working in several counseling /clinical settings, including: nonprofit, college counseling center, private setting, community outpatient rehab center and in prison mental health facility. Dr. Dabirian believes Psychotherapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist. In this therapeutic journey together, the patient will gain insight into the roots of their current thinking process/outlook, which has resulted in their present pattern of behaviors/emotions and decisions. There will be great emphasis on the concept of mindfulness "here and now' as the client sets their current goals and expectations from his or her therapy. Dr Dabirian uses the tool of "Awareness' and "change' as key factors to help her clients make the necessary changes/choices, instead of falling victims to old dysfunctional thought patterns that was detrimental to their daily lives and mental health.
