Professional Statement

Dr. Sharifa Karen Krongold is a licensed clinical psychologist who integrates a range of methods to best address each person's individual needs. She provides a compassionate, caring and supportive environment in which to explore the inner world to create healing and transformation. She enjoys helping clients deepen their self-understanding and access the wisdom of their bodies in order to cultivate inherent strengths and lead more fulfilling, authentic lives. If desired, one's unique spiritual path can be incorporated into the process of therapy. Dr. Krongold also offers expertise in: management of chronic pain; therapy for parents of infants; and mindfulness-based approaches. Social and cultural contexts are acknowledged and included as Dr. Krongold recognizes that experiences of racism as well as other forms of prejudice and discrimination have impacts on mental health. People of all genders and sexual orientations can feel welcome and supported.
