Professional Statement

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with people in a variety of different treatment settings around Northern California for the last 15 years. I provide both brief and long-term psychotherapy to adolescents and adults of all ages.   I was first drawn to psychology after college when I came across a book on Jung's personality types, and I still believe that self-knowledge and acceptance are the cornerstones of psychological health. I have an integrative perspective on therapy, blending psychodynamic, humanistic methods with cognitive-behavioral ones, as dictated by the needs and goals of my clients. In addition, I am interested in health psychology and have attended and helped organize workshops that teach relaxation techniques, including mindfulness meditation.
